Medicare Supplements

Medicare Supplements, also known as Medigaps, were designed to cover the remaining financial responsibility that Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) do not cover.

These plans typically have a premium and deductible and partner with Original Medicare .

Part D Plans

Part D offers optional plans for prescription drug coverage. Part D is typically paired with a Medicare Supplement plan. While this is optional, a delay in enrollment (when eligible) can result in additional fees above and beyond the monthly premium, deductible and copays.

Part C - Medicare Advantage

Part C plans, also known as Medicare Advantage, replace Original Medicare (Part A and Part B). It typically includes Part D.

Part C is offered through private insurance companies. Enrollment in a Part C plan will result in forfeiture of using Original Medicare benefits.

Part C plans typically offer prescription, dental, vision and hearing coverage.
